Technopark fully owned by Government of Kerala, is one of the leading IT parks in the country. Designed to international standards, Technopark at Trivandrum commenced operations in 1994 and today, it has become one of the largest IT parks where 150 internationally reputed IT/ITeS companies operate with more than 20,000 professionals and 4 million sq ft built-up area. It is also one of the most advanced IT Park in the country with cutting edge facilities across all spectrums of IT business needs located in a breathtakingly beautiful campus. Technopark as part of the hub and spoke model of development is expanding its activities to Kundara, Kollam, which is 63 km away. This is to tap the Kerala's unique advantage of uniform talent distribution, Infrastructure and supporting IT platforms, e.g. telecom, datacom and digital exchanges, excellent infrastructure availability and back-up support. Kollam Technopark- Under Construction










Kollam Techno Park to boost Kollam IT sector development and Kundara industrial region development. Kollam Techno Park coming up at 18 hecters of land adjacent to Cyramics. 1 lakh sq. feet will be ready when the first phase is completed in December 2010. When the park finishes the complete work, the total space will be of 5 lakh sq. feet. Total of 800 crores investment for Kollam Techno Park.

Nabard has agreed to fund Technopark’s Kollam project with a Rs 50-crore soft loan, Technopark CEO Mervin Alexander said. Technopark CFO KC Chandrasekharan Nair said the park expected bank funding for its future programmes, too.

The proposed new green building is designed to accommodate 10,000 staff and generate 25,000 indirect jobs. Cap India is the Builing Contractor. Piling of this iconic futuristic buiding going at fast pace and expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Associated inner roads, water supply and canal works are also in progress. The government has approved the construction of 110 KV substation at Kollam Techno Park premises. The work is taken by the Siemens India Ltd. Also started the Works of Water Supply inside the parks.

Chief Minister of Kerala V S Achuthanandan laid the foundation stone for the new IT park on 10th Feb 2009. Minister for Education M A Baby presided over the function. Other dignitaries present were , Minister for Revenue K P Rajendran, Minister for Transport, Printing & Stationery Mathew T Thomas, Minister for Works Mons Joseph, Minister for Labour & Excise P K Gurudasan, Kollam District Collector A. Shahjahan, IT Secretary Ajay Kumar, Technopark CEO Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Technopark business development senior manager M Vasudevan.
